Three-Quarters-Year in Review -2009

2009 was quite the busy year at The Old Post Road.
(I started blogging in March, so this "year-in-review" is actually only
"nine-months-in-review.")

I feel compelled to mention (while patting myself on the back)
that I completed several projects this year!

Feel free to RE-LIVE my favorite posts with me .....
or just skip to another blog and I'll 'catch you next year!'

Earlier in the year I made a family Birthday Banner........

(with very few instructions - because I was a newbie blogger,

way back then).

and then I sewed a cute ruffle for my bench........

And then shared my sister's spray-painted bathroom cabinets with you........

In August, Mr. TOPR and I

painted the front of our house.

Now THAT took a while!

You watched me slip-cover a deteriorating chair.............

And sew some burlap curtains for the kitchen............

and new drapes for the dining room..........

Which actually included a full dining room overhaul,

thanks to a deadline set by Melissa at The Inspired Room

and her ingenious Procrastinator Party!..................

I managed to sew new porch pillows many times here, here, and here.

Decorated for Christmas..........

And the entire purpose of this blog was to sell more of my art!

2009 was a year full of painting

and more painting ..........

with some of my art actually on display in a local toystore window for Christmas!.....

(almost done with the bragging)

I've noticed that I cannot PAINT and BLOG at the same time! Yikes!

What Shall I Do!?!

The best part about blogging is all of the new "bloggy-friends" that I've made

(and I sincerely appreciate your encouraging words!)

So, -I'll just continue to juggle the blogging and the painting,

and "oh, yeah" the "Mom-thing".......

God is good!

Now, I am off to set GOALS for 2010.

Can you believe it is 2010 ?!!

Happy New Year!

It was such a pleasure to find one of my posts at Things that Inspire - on her list of favorite posts of the year! Read over her list, if you get a chance!

You have been busy! Nine months, that is a pregnancy, I guess you could say your blog is truly grown and out in to the world now ;-)
Love your painting, but furniture and wall hangings. Really love the sewing projects, they always steal my heart.
Hi, TRish, what a wonderful array of projects you did last year! THey are all great. ANd I just figured out you are the scripture art girl. See, there are too many bloggers out there & I can't keep up. THanks for joining the party, it's been nice to meet you this year & I look forward to a fun 2010!
looks like it was a great year! super projects and lovely art.
Your dining room is gorgeous and I love the slipcovered chair. I know how tedious slip covers are, but they are worth it. Yours turned out great and you should be proud.
