New Pillows for their Sweet Heads...
After painting my girls dressers a pretty aqua shade a couple of weeks ago, I decided that portions of their matching twin bed linens "had to go." Since I am forever on a tight budget, I managed to redecorate frugally.
First, I found this cute fabric at Hancock's - $3.75 a yard! Yes - Three dollars and 75 cents -54" decorator fabric. Love a great sale!!
So, I made a couple of cute pillows...
and covered a chair cushion...
And sewed a couple of curtains to cover some clutter.......
(Oops - still see clutter - didn't make it quite large enough, did I? - or maybe I need to sew enough panels to cover the entire teenage room?!)
Then, I splurged a little and ordered this beautiful fabric from Joanns .......
(around $10 a yard, on sale)
With the waverly fabric, I made two Euroshams.....
I found fun matching shag pillows at TJMaxx....
Then threw them all together on the twin beds....
Looks nice, doesn't it? And more importantly, my girls like the new look.
Here is the "before"......
And here is the "after".........
And some photos with natural light (excuse my pitiful camera).
The side lamp (ikea) is too large for the table - but, for the time being, it keeps my daughter's books well-lit.
And "yes" that is a chimney running thru the middle of their room in our 160 year old house. I mentioned my son's personal chimney here. Have a great day!

I just ordered some fabric to reupholster a chair and make a couple pillows and a chair cover. Can't wait for it to come in.
I especially love the waverly fabric! Worth the splurge!
I hope you are off to a great week.
Sincerely ~ Trish
That lamp is actually too big for that table - it needs to be moved. That is an IKEA lamp and lampshade from a few years ago.

And the chimney just adds character. :)
You can make fabric go along way,
with all your good ideas.
Thank you for sharing!
