Almost Time to Plant
The weather has been so beautiful this week- we've all been fooled into thinking Spring is here. Twenty degrees above "average." It is April, right? I ran to Lowe's Garden Center the other day and was surprised at how few plants were available. Then I remembered it is mid-February.
I am still "planning" to plant - even if it is still too early to plant.
I've shared my Annabelle hydrangeas with you before, here and here...
These are obviously old summer photos. I love how these hydrangeas bloom all summer long.
I want to add some blue hydrangeas across the yard from this row of Annabelle's.
I am thinking about Penny Mac....
Or maybe Endless Summer....
(Except - I already have one Endless Summer that has not grown very tall.)
I really want a giant blue blob that looks like it is really, really old and was planted by someone's grandma and will bloom all summer. That's all.
This one is Nikko Blue. ...
It can grow to 6 feet. Which is fine with me.
Here is All Summer Beauty....
Suggestions?
Would love to hear them!
Photos: White hydrangeas - mine, all blue hydrangea photos were scavenged off the internet.

I'm not even sure when to plant them here. I love the Nikko Blue ones, too.
I vote for the Nikko blue variety, they are amazing! :)

As for the hydrangeas, I have some of all of the hydrangeas you mentioned except the Summer Beauty(?) one. I love them all, but I really think I love the Nikko Blue the best. It has smaller bloom heads, but more of them! Oh, and just so you know, yesterday I noticed that my Penny Mac, whic is up against my house and gets a lot of morning sun, already has little green leaves putting out along the stems. Guess ol' Penny will be covered in a blanket most of the next couple of months!
Love your Annabelles, too! Blessings, Becky G. in GA
