Adding to My Flock
But, I DID get some new bird prints for Christmas.
And they have been sitting patiently in their nests, waiting for me to find some nails, a hammer, and some spare time.
Here they sit..........
Just below the other winged beauties at my front door..........
So I hammered
and pulled nails
and re-hammered
and my flock grew from 8 to 14!
When you are hanging a lot of pictures by a frequently used door,
let's just say "Tape is your Friend."
(Just roll a little between your fingers to form a skinny tube, and slip under the bottom of the frame where the tape does not show. This will keep the frames from swinging and keep your company from getting dizzy while they admire your bird prints).
My grandmother made this needlepoint, many years, ago.........
And I painted this one..........
I actually have several that I painted, myself......
But most I purchased over time.
I posted about some of my birds and where to find them, here, a few months ago.
Etsy is a great source for bird prints and I am fond of cheap frames.
I also have several from Mary Carol Garrity's HOME collection (and you don't have to drive to Nell Hill's to get them! -To find a store near you that carries Mary Carol items click here.)
Or you can look through the ones I painted on my Etsy site, here.
One more thing: An "assortment" is the key to making these work.
I like to use a variety of frames (different sizes, shapes, colors), as well as an assortment of birds (paintings, prints, needlepoint, etc.)

I love the little bluebird print you painted! We have lots of bluebirds that visit our yard each day and they were my mother's favorite bird, which makes them even more special to me!

Love your new grouping. I just tried that tape trick a few weeks ago and I am loving it. For the first time all my photos hang straight. Yay!
Thanks for linking to my party. :)
