I Can't Take the Heat

The Georgia heat is killing me this summer.   June is typically bearable.  But, not this year.
This year, August came in June
It is humid
and hot
and miserable.

Fortunately, I found some escapes in blogland.

First, check out these absolutely gorgeous photos from the Maldives, courtesy of Porchlight Interiors

(You've got to look at all of the photos here- it will make you want to save up your money for a trip.)

I would love to visit Susan Brown of The Life and Times on PEI .  She lives on Prince Edward Island (poor thing).   Look at this cute photo of Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia...........

I'll bet the temperature is wonderful in Canada, right now!

Surely Northern California has pleasant temps this time of year.   Hop over to Vignette Design and view the before and afters of the cottages where Delores vacationed............

Tongue in Cheek has beautiful pictures of Nice, France this week.....

(Note to self:  If I ever live in France, I should blog about it like Corey does.)

Another blogger in France, Francine Gardner, shares her cousin's house with us.....

magnifique!

Is the humidity dropping, or is that my imagination?
We had a great trip to Yellowstone, this time last year. It was nice and cool.  I should probably just reflect on that trip and the jackets we wore and the long pants that kept us warm.   Or maybe I could just remember how LONG this past winter seemed.

Have a great day!  Stay cool!

It is so hot here in Virginia also...9()'s everyday! I have been staying in my studio with my sewing machine and paints ;-)
Your photos make me want to pack my suitcase and GO!!!!
What great places and yes I think I am feeling a little cooler now. You are right we have August temps and humidity in June. What on earth is the rest of summer going to be??
Hey Georgia girl! This S.C. girl is wilting here too! I have never been this hot this early! Expecting another 98* today! Ughh! For sure this is August weather! Thanks for the refreshing post! I will refer back to it often I'm sure.
It's been so very hot here too already! I told Mr. Tide that I think we have two seasons now, Winter and Summer! But I'll take the heat over the cold any day! Loved those mini escapes though, ahh to be in France or the Maldives right now...sigh!

Kat :)
How funny! I grew up on the MS Gulf Coast so I can appreciate the heat/humidity. Now I live in the northwest and I'm thrilled to see us reaching 79 degrees today!!

Beautiful photos...it's nice to daydream :)

Oh I can't even imagine the heat. You can come and have iced tea with me to cool down. At least we can get lost in blogs.
