Fun Reads
Hope you have a great weekend. I found a few links I thought I would pass along....
I laughed my way through this funny article by Jen Hatmaker. I saw it on twitter and then my sister sent it to me. My giggles really started when she mentioned the kid with the paper taped to her shirt. I can completely identify with that mom. Completely. I not only become a poor mother towards the end of school, but pretty much with the entire childhood of Child Number 3. For instance: Child Number 3 has a "Connections Awards Ceremony" twice a year where I am supposed to go sit in the gym on hard bleachers and watch him receive an award - not an academic award - but another award - pretty much an award for showing up to class and behaving. Both times this year I simply said "Sam, do you mind if I skip this?." He knew I had nothing else to do - I just honestly could not attend another event. He was okay with it. In fact, I believe he would prefer that I not show up for most events. He is to THAT stage. Personal space and all.
Jill is someone I know in real life and always has an inspirational post: Shine Girls
If you can read about wonderful places to visit, without getting all "woe-is-me", then look at these photos in Coastal Living....
Have a great weekend!
