All a proper room needs is a chair and a place to put your beverage. I don't remember where I read that. I love rooms that you wouldn't expect to have have furniture and art. A laundry, a bathroom, mudroom garage, stair, potting shed, closet, yeah...

Something about it is so cozy. I love the settee as it allows the "sitter" to still be part of the action in what looks like a busy part of this house.....so cozy.
