Happy Valentine's Day
As I glanced around blogland at Valentine's ideas, I started feeling a little "less than perfect" on the mom front.
Can't I just plop down a box of heart shaped candy and say "Happy Valentine's Day precious children!" ?? Or is that too sterile and expected? I saw the cute ideas by the mom over at Three Pixie Lane and started to feel inferior. I decided to ramp it up a notch, this year. Not a whole lot, it isn't Christmas, or anything - just a little more.
Hand-made is always the key.
(Ignore the sewing machine on the chair in the corner of the kitchen - it has been there a week - we don't see it anymore).
So, I hand-stamped their little name tags and added a ribbon.
I also printed out these cute "Apple of My Eye" stickers from and Twig and Thistle.
One of my kids already had an apple in his lunch box, so I sneaked a sticker in there - wonder if that will embarrass him at the Middle School lunch table?
The mom at Three Pixie Lane also has a better camera and better photography skills. But I am not feeling inferior or anything. Will the kids would notice if I eat their chocolates to numb myself regarding my lack of quality mom skills?
The tulips were courtesy of my sweet husband and are much prettier in real life.
Enjoy your Valentine's Day!
