Trim Paint

This before and after featured in Coastal Living was actually focusing on the deck/patio.

But, I couldn't help but notice what a difference trim paint can make!

Here are some more exterior photos where trim paint really makes the house look great...

Traditional Home

Then I opened my latest Southern Living and found this Senoia, Georgia showhome.....

Most of the trim in the home was painted to match the wall color.  Apparently (per the magazine article) - the room looks larger when there is no contrast between the trim and the walls.

But just look at the contrast with the ceiling....

I need to paint my ceilings blue - those are gorgeous.

Trish, I got that magazine, too. Of course it is one of my favs. I would love to tour that home. I have to find out where Senoia is. That ceiling is gorgeous. I love coffered ceilings.

Funny you noticed the trim on the cottage. When I saw this, I immediately told Mr. that I wish our neighbor would paint her trim this color. She has cedar shakes and the right trim color would be a huge improvement. Do you think I should tell her and risk being a neighborhood bully, tee-hee?

Love that blue ceiling too.

I need to go out and buy a copy of that magazine so I can see more of that house. I do think trim paint makes a huge difference. I have actually thought of painting the trim in my kitchen a contrasting color and leaving the walls cream.

It's those little details that really pull it all together. Great inspirational ideas:)

Nice! I used to have a blue ceiling in my bedroom but I didn't have any pretty crown molding to highlight it. :)

I love painted ceilings. I simply do not want to paint them myself.
