Our House

We live in an 1850's home in the heart of Georgia.  We consider ourselves fortunate when the weather is nice, and fairly stupid when it is below 40 degrees, outside.  (We heat the entire neighborhood with all the cracks in this place!)  Our house is a constant work in progress.  Enjoy these snapshots taken around our home!

Trish - Your artwork brought us to your blog. We were so excited to see that you and your family are living in the home of our grandparents - Bruce and Willye Maye Allen. They moved here from Social Circle, Georgia around 1945. We grew up playing in this house and eating Sunday lunch (we called it dinner) after church. Some of the most memorable times of our childhood were here with our grandparents and all of our cousins. The backyard was fairyland for grandchildren - swings, slide and merry-go-round. We have black and white photos that you might be interested in seeing. We would love to see the house in the near future. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you and God Bless.
