Art Crush by Kim Smith Fine Art

Happy "End of August" to everyone! It has been a hectic summer for me.
We moved.
Completely up and changed houses in a three month span.

We bought our 1850's home in Madison Georgia in 2000 when my kids were 7, 4, and 1. It was bittersweet leaving that old house, but we all felt that God wanted us to make a change. After all, how often do you have someone contact you to buy your house when it isn't even on the market? That seemed like quite a burning bush. We signed the contract the week our baby boy graduated from high school, which is pretty good timing. Except for the chaos of moving and high school graduation and packing for college, not to mention finding a place to live.

So, we find ourselves as new empty-nesters and sort of in limbo. I am still trying to locate things in our boxes, and we are not in a permanent home, just a rental for now. Life is good and God is great. We are eager to see what the next step will be.

I continue to be amazed at the kindness of others. Not only the sweet goodbyes we received from neighbors, but the nice blog post Kim Smith Fine Art shared, today! What a blessing. Thank you, Kim! I adore your art, too!
