Christmas Decor

I am finally finishing up Christmas around here. Since I am not frantically prepping for a home tour this year, it is taking me longer than necessary- as I drag the decorating out for no good reason.

I created this little Christmas vignette....

And displayed my Santas in their usual spot....

I finally finished hanging the wreaths up the staircase and took an iphone photo at night just for you.....

That blur is Nellie.  Her life is a frantic blur.

Here she is being unnaturally still .....

Our sweet Maggie died last week....

She was 12.

But, I cannot talk about her right now.  It makes me sad.

So, back to Christmas decor...
I shared my front door with you last week....

I also had a small art show...

Which means I have been painting...

And here are a few more Christmas-at-night-photos-with-an-iphone....

Gotta love fresh (and FREE) greenery.

Here is the front room tree....

Our real tree is in the back of the house, but I don't have a photo.

Have a great week!!

So sorry about your Maggie. That is such a hard hard thing to lose a loved one.
Your house is so warm and inviting and your holiday tableaus are wonderful.
I just popped over to visit my poor neglected Library Mermaid blog - I am really only over at Sun Pours Down Like Honey. But glad I "visited".
Trish- so sorry to hear you lost your beloved Maggie... We list out long time family pet right before Thanksgiving. Sorry for your loss.
Your home looks lovely and you have quite the collection of artwork. I hope you sell it all!
I keep saying one of these days I'll get brave as you and start painting! - Pat

I enjoyed seeing the outside of your home last Friday night during the Candlelight Tour of Homes and remembered how pretty your home was last year on the tour.

Our 13 year old cat, Ling-Ling died two weeks ago...I miss him terribly.

Merry Christmas to you and yours..

Visiting your blog from the Party at WOW. You did an amazing job on your banister. I love how the garland actually looks like individual wreaths. I am your newest follower, and would love for you to follow me back at maddiebellahome.blogspot.com
