I am Losing It

My ENTIRE goal  and purpose behind my Etsy store and my blog is to sell my art.

So, why am I disappointed when a painting sells?

This one sold two days ago.





But, I cannot bring myself to ship it because I don't want it to leave our house.





The kids are right, I am losing my mind.

I think when we paint it more than just painting a picture...something of us, our feelings at the time, emotion etc. are involved.

Parting with a work of mine is hard too.

I know exactly how you feel! Unless I have done a piece specifically as a gift for someone...I just cannot part with my work!

Such a cute and cottage-y painting! I've had a few paintings that I really bonded with. Take *high quality* pics of them before they go. That helps me cope and you'll definitely want your faves in a portfolio.
