Day 3 of Painting

You know I love color.

But I also love rooms that look like this....

and this...

I thought I would tone down my art a little, so that it could fit into a room like this....

Merry Christmas in July, by the way.

Here is my latest painting - Day 3 of my 30 Days of Painting Self Challenge....

I think that painting would work in a room like this....
Don't you?

Or am I not quite 'muted' enough?

By the way, it hit me last night that I got this "Painting A Day" idea from somewhere, and I am thinking it might have been from Pamela Holderman's blog.  I love her work and she is on my side bar and is a couple of days ahead of me in her "Painting a Day" posts.  Thanks to Pamela for the inspiration!
Wait until you see TOMORROW's painting!  It is my favorite EVER and I am almost finished!

My Giveaway ends on Friday!  Hurry and enter!

I love the flowers. You have a great style of painting.
I love your artwork. It's absolutely beautiful.
I just told The Honey I want to buy a starter paint kit at WM and teach myself to paint. They had a beginners guide inside too. If nothing else...it had a really cool wooden box, I could add to my stash!

I love your paintings. They are beautiful. I guess I've never read your story about how you learned to paint, if you took lessons or taught yourself...or just picked up a brush.

do you have a story posted? or maybe your about button?
I find inspiration here on your blog...so it is fitting that you too have someone that inspires you.

Thanks for sharing your artwork, Pat

Wonderful day 3 painting! I love your style of painting. I need to try some flowers sometime. Do you paint from live flower arrangements? Do you get the flowers from your yard? Why does flowers float your creativity? Just wondering about the story behind you and the flowers!!!
