Another Kitchen

I ran across another dream kitchen over at Holly Mathis Interiors.

My favorite part of this kitchen is the stove/oven.

Seriously.

No, I am not kidding.  This is inspirational to me.  There is just something about decorating with what you have.  And not with a credit card.  Or a large savings account.  And a perfect, brand-new everything room is just not attractive to me.  "All-new" is too predictable.

This kitchen is refreshing with its outdated stove.
How perfect.

This kitchen is in the home of Jennifer Rizzo, a talented artist.  This kitchen was featured in Country Living.  Go look at the before and after photos!

Having high end everything is not what will get you into a magazine, and you are so right to be inspired by this beautiful kitchen! I've written about and been on shoots at homes where the cabinets, the appliances, whatever weren't shiny and new, but wow did those kitchens knock your socks off. Style and soul transcend shiny and new every time! Great post!

I agree with loving the realness of that kitchen! I think it speaks to life being lived there and what a home is about.

I agree, Jennifer's kitchen is beautiful and real. We have newish white appliances, and I'm okay with that, in fact I could have started to change them over to stainless but decided to buy white.

Yep, it's awesome. Funny, if I ever get to FINALLY redo my kitchen, I'm planning around my existing oven. :o)
