Summer

Time flies.

Summer is winding down for my kids. How I wish they could start back to school a little later in August!

I am short on time, so I thought I would post a few photos that caught my eye while surfing.....

The homeowner had leftover floor boards and decided to use them above the stove, rather than installing an expensive range hood.  Quite clever!  And I like the mix of old wood with the new kitchen.

I love this arrangement of dahlias.
So bright and cheerful.  I may need to paint them.

And check out this stunning pool house in Architectural Digest.

Wow.

It is a guest home.   I am ready to move in.   I'll bet Connecticut has nicer temps than Georgia, right now.

And this is a great idea....

Country Living

This family framed maps of places they traveled.
I try to collect paintings or prints when we travel.  I have a few in a stack, but have not framed them.  Inexpensive water color prints made into notecards are often easy to find and inexpensive.

Now, off to console one child and get another off the sofa.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Beautiful ideas, especially the framed maps ~ we have lived in four states in 12 years, think I may have to do this in the kitchen. With a shelf above. Love your header, the paintings are divine. Pinning everything.... xoxo michele
Love that wooden hood over the range!

Great pictures all the way... that pool house is sweet. I'd take a pool shed at this point... Those maps are great on the wall too!

enjoyed the eye candy, Pat
