The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm

A friend of mine operates a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in rural Georgia.  In addition to accomodating overnight guests, Melinda Hartney is an expert at hosting weddings and other functions.  Her inn is The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm (how cute is that name?), located in the beautiful countryside near Madison, Georgia, on Lake Oconee.

The Hundred Acre Farm is one of those experiences that lowers the blood pressure and gives the brain another place to go.  There are no car horns, no deadlines, and no office phones ringing - just the sound of countryside.
And chickens.
Plus a cow, or two.
The land is beautiful.  Did I use the word "beautiful," yet?

I visited an hour before one of the weddings began, just as a strong storm was approaching.  I was using my i-phone as a camera, so understand that everything is twice as pretty as my pitiful camera depicts.

And here is a photo of Melinda with my daughter....

Melinda and her crew are experts at hosting weddings.  They have engineered many, many events with much prettier photography than I can produce with my i-phone.  Here are some images of The Hundred Acre Farm captured by Simple-Color Gresham Wedding Photography ....

More incredible photographs of that wedding, here.

And The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm was highlighted in Style Me Pretty magazine...

Here are more great photos of The Hundred Acre Farm featured in that publication.

And a few from Martha Stewart, here.

And one last set of wedding photos from The Hundred Acre Farm, if you need to please your eyes, today....

Trust me, The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm is a wonderful slice of this gorgeous country! How I wish I were there, right now!

I think you said beautiful. My daughter #2 is heading to an outdoor wedding in that beautiful neighborhood in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to the pictures.
