Cute and Free Printable Note Cards

I printed these note cards for my daughter -

the graduate

who is so cheerfully writing lots of "Thank You" notes.

I found the free printables at The Wedding Chicks.

Just pick your colors and your initial and the site produces a monogram .png file for you.!  For free!  Too cool.
I used "mango" and "tiffany blue" for the cards shown, above.

Here is "mango" and "celadon"

I've writen out a quick tutorial if you need a little more help.  I am a 'visual' learner, so I've included several pictures.

Tutorial for Free Printable Note Cards
You will need:
a color printer
8.5"x11" card stock paper (I used white)
Microsoft Word or similar
envelopes - size A2 (holds 5.5"x4.25" card)

(1) Go to The Wedding Chicks website here and click the colors you want and the intial.

(2) When the color combo with your initial pops up on the new page, right click "Save Picture As" and save somewhere on your drive where you can fnd it.

(this is "light gray" and "ocean blue")

(3) Open up Microsoft Word

(4) Rotate the page view to landscape (8.5"x11")

(5) Click the "Insert a picture" tab at the top and insert your new .png file.

(6) Move your margin halfway down the page AND reduce the size of your picture so that your monogram is in the bottom left corner of the page.

(this is "peach blossom" and "mint")

(7) Print on cheap paper with cheap ink (black and white) because your first attempt will not be perfectly centered.

(8) Fold the paper both directions and make sure the monogram is centered.  This step may need to be repeated several times.

(obviously not centered)

(9) Once you have moved the picture around a little (by adjusting the margins) and have printed and re-printed and FINALLY have it centered in the bottom fourth of the page, Print in Color on cardstock.
(10)  If you are smarter than I am and managed to place two monograms on the paper and they are both centered, then go to step 12.
(11) To get two monograms per page, insert the cardstock in your printer a different direction to print the second monogram on the other half of the page.

(12)  Use your paper cutter to cut the page in half (5.5" across)

(13) Fold the cute little notecard into a 5.5"x4.25" note card!

So pretty, inexpensive, and easy!

Thanks to The Wedding Chicks for this freebie!!!

Awesome tutorial! I definitely want to try this because I have a pile of birthday thank you notes to write. I'll have to figure out the margin part. I've never quite understood how to do that in Word. Where did you buy your envelopes?
Thanks for the tip! The note cards are so cute! And FREE designs!! We love FREE!!
