Before and After

This Old House often has fascinating 'before and after' photos from historic homes around the country.
I ran across three that made me smile.

Someone took the time and money to restore this Rhode Island home to it's former glory.

Warms the heart, doesn't it?

I love Blowing Rock, North Carolina.  Here is a home with a facelift - I can only imagine the views out the back windows of this home.....

And here is a Second Empire home in Colorado....

Didn't even notice it was brick, in the first photo.

More before and after pictures here.

Enjoy your day!

I love seeing these type of photos. I also am happy that people are still willing to spend the money and time it takes to restore these beautiful old houses.
I love to see transformations like those. Just beautiful. Martina

These most definitely warm my heart!!!
So pretty! I love the last house. I especially like how they copied the corbels from the roof over hang to make the posts and corbels on the porch flow with the feeling of the house!
Nice detail.

I'm going to look at more!

Fun before and afters! My favorite part of all of the pictures is the little tiny horse hooked to the cart. I'm off to see more!
