Birthday Banners

A few years ago, I made this birthday banner for our family....

It is now our tradition to hang this in the hall when someone has a birthday.
I posted about it here.

I finally got around to making some more.....

I put this one in my booth.

And placed one on my Etsy site.

I made it completely out of scraps that I have been hoarding.  I'm working on the hoarding thing.  I have a fear of winding up on the show.  I have a hard time throwing things out or giving things away - I am always afraid I might "need" that item next week.  I never do.  I heard a sermon the other day about hoarding clothes you will never wear again, implying that it is a way of "not" giving or sharing with others.   Yikes - better get busy cleaning out those clothes that shrunk while in my closet.

What a GREAT idea!
Your birthday banners are so cute! And I have a lot of clothes that shrunk in my closet too! I should go through them and donate a few myself!

Oh I absolutely love this! What a great tradition and a great idea. How strange that your clothes shrink in your closet just like mine do...crazy! :-)
Thanks so much for linking up to Inspiration Friday and I am now following you!

So charming...the Etsy link doesn't work though.

Wow… really beautiful it’s all of a new thought!! You have 14 different pieces and you sewed them neatly including alphabets. It’s a very good creativity. Thanks for sharing a great piece of work. 
