Could I Ever Get This Brave?

I love checks - and have too many, already.  But Wow!!

And what if the tiles in this next picture look outdated in two years?
(I am such a tight-wad, I don't want to have to replace anything major any time, soon!)

Love this blue fridge.  But when will it look outdated?.....

Isn't that kitchen lovely?

I'll get brave one day!

Enjoy your day!

I'm like you, I want any decorating decision that I make to last a long time. I love the checked ceiling, but I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to have to either paint it or paint over it.

I love the ceiling on that top pic. All of them are gorgeous!
I could be that brave, because as long as I'm not planning to move, I would do whatever I wanted to to a home as long as it wasn't something you couldn't ever un-do if you changed your mind 10 years down the line.

Besides, if you wait long enough, everything comes back in to fashion! ;-)

I was just looking at that gingham kitchen this weekend and came to the conclusion that, no, I could not be that over the top, no matter how great it seems in the beginning.

I am not a fan of the check ceiling, but I do love the painted green island!
Very daring decorating....It would be fun to do something unexpected or different for once. I think that would be truly living and enjoying your home. I guess if you really love it then you should go for it!

we're doing a bit of redecorating around here, but having a real estate background I always think of resale, so I don't go too crazy.
Looove your new header!
I must say that I LOVE that green kitchen. I might get really inspired to cook in that colorful green room. When I saw you posted that photo in particular, I thought it fit you well because it reminded me of your beautiful and colorful paintings. I've always loved the bright blues and awesome colors you choose in your paintings. Oh yes, be brave!

I big fat puffy heart the green kitchen. Will you be upset if I do that to the ceiling in my powder bath?

The tile in the second pic won't go out of style for awhile, but the blue fridge- I give it 3 - 5 years. (just a guess, though.)

Love it all!
