sorry the kids have to go back, but for those of us w/o school age children, summer is still here and going strong. I just paid a $400 Georgia Power bill for my AC and it will be even more $$$ next month for our July heatwave.
I for one am so ready for Fall and cooler weather!
Where oh where is Fall?!
They are sending kids back to school the first week of August??? Wow, that's early..when we lived in Texas, school started up again around the 3rd week of August and I thought that was early.
Personally I am soooo ready for Autumn.

Ugh, can't believe you were in FLA this time of the year!!! NO way !! Georgia is bad enough, ha! and SC too where I live. I enjoy it to an extent. I am glad our electric bills are not too bad here.
Yours start tomorrow? Our county is next week. It is ridiculous how early they are starting. I say the same thing about the airconditioners having to run overtime and I guess our tax dollars have to pay it.

You start tomorrow? That is way too early. I go back on the 9th and the kids come on the 16th. Our school goes a week earlier than any other school district around here. The bad thing is that we never get out earlier because of snow days.

Yikes - tomorrow ?????? In Jersey the kids don't go back until after Labor day and it's STILL too hot ! I cannot imagine making them sit in a classroom in that heat : (

I hope you had a wonderful time in FLA - we're hoping to head down in October !!!!!!

I am in Georgia and it is just too hot to think about it all. I am convinced the kids will not concentrate properly.

Welcome back!
Vacations are great, but it's always good to get back to your own bed, isn't it?

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Hugs,

So glad you are finally home. School starts Sept. 7th here, which I'm thankful for. Not quite ready for the hustle and bustle just yet:)

This breaks my heart. I get sad every summer, no matter how old our boys are. They should get out Memorial Day and go back after Labor Day period.
