Chapel of St. Gildas

I just fell in love with the cute Chapel of St. Gildas I shared in my Sunday post.

This precious church is located along the Canal du Blavet in Brittany, France - near the town of Bieuzy-les-Eaux. The chapel was constructed at the location where it is believed St Gildas (an Irish monk) preached to a pagan population in the 6th century. The church was built near where a cave existed at the base of the granite outcrop. St. Gildas and St. Bieuzy lived in the cave while preaching in the area.

I found several more photos of the church here.

Wouldn't a tour of Brittany be wonderful right about now!??

How beautiful are those photographs - I would love to attend a service in this church. Can you imagine sitting there? How awesome!
What an amazing place!!!! I'm in love and I am picturing a lovely small romantic wedding with the bride wearing flowers in her hair and candles providing the only light...Heaven!

You'd hope they still have services in places like this.
