Porches

Warm weather is here!

It is time to dust the pollen off my porch and get to work.

I have been "saving" some fabric and am finally using it.......

Isn't it a fun fabric?!! (I made these pillows, today.)

My porch is a far-cry from where it was a week ago -covered in pollen and dust ....

I also ran to Lowe's and bought a couple of boston ferns - they are a bit 'smallish', right now, but they will be beautiful before long (with lots of watering and some Epson salts).

Country Living has featured some GREAT porches (all of which appear to be free of pollen and dust) ......

Thanks, Country Living! These photos are quite the inspiration.

Oh girlie you found the prettiest porches. I loved them all...but the red bench with the rooster pillows...my fav!! Your porch is pretty darn cute too I might add. Pollen and all:)
Oh boy I love porches! I'm going to study on these. I have a porch that is in desperate need of color and style. I was just shopping for fabric for some pillows for the porch. Great pictures. I love the one of the words "pollen" in the dust. Very funny. Lisa~
Your pillows are soooo CUTE...luv that fabric! My screen porch is covered in that yellow stuff...I sure hate it. Hope you have a FUN week:)

Blessings,
Linda

I’m having a GIVEAWAY…come by and check it out…I think you will like it!
Use 1 TBS of Epson salts in a gallon of water and use that to water the ferns about once a week. Water with regular water the rest of the week. -Trish

Your porch looks great, and I loved seeing all the other photos. I just got my Country Living for May in the mail today and saw the porch with the red glider. :)

I swept this morning, and an hour later all was covered again with pollen. My back screened in porch has been left in layers of yellow pollen, I will hose the whole darn thing off when it's over!!! Too much work to do it daily!!!

Thanks for the inspiration, I'm gonna run and get some plants!!
I'm so jealous! I don't have a porch. I do have a gazebo and I like to decorate that, but that's in the backyard.

I love porches. Those pics are so beautiful. I have a porch but I wish it were bigger. Can't have a big enough porch, can you? Your pillows look cute, they really "spring" it up.

That is very fun fabric! I hear you on the pollen thing - I finally decided to just decorate to match - ha. Have a blessed week!

Ah..pollen. It's that time of year. I am trying to sweep it and the dead ladybugs and springify my porch this week.
Thank you! I will pick up some epson salt tomorrow.

Ugh, the pollen, I am not even fooling with washing my car because it will just be yellow again the next day.
I want everyone of those porches!

We're approaching the end of pollen season here in Virginia, so maybe I can hose off the porch and the pavillion over the weekend. What a lovely collection of porches you have! Love the red glider.
