Porch Garland
I have been working on my front porch, today! I bought (BIG SPLURGE) a $7 white pine garland (20') from Lowe's. ............
(Am feeling a little guilty - since I will have to throw it away after Christmas and I paid money for it! )
I cut lots of cedar out of my yard and grabbed the frasier fir cuttings (for free) from Lowe's........
I cut magnolia from my father-in-law's yard.........
Everything is fresh (including the granny smith apples) EXCEPT for the base of the wreath. I used florist wire to attach cuttings of cedar, pine, frasier fir, boxwood, and magnolia to the fake wreath.
I stuffed the urns with the same cuttings in a bowl of water.
Here is a close-up of the apples and magnolia. ..................
The red berries are nandina berries and are also from my yard............
I also changed out the porch pillows with new pillows that I made (and obviously took the photos at night!)...........
NOW - I'll tackle decorating the INSIDE of my house for Christmas!

I buy the rope from Lowes too and take the free tree trimmings to add to the rope. The rope is great for making wreaths too.
Thanks for linking up! : )
Can't wait to see the inside..Gotta finish mine too for the home tours here in blog land.
