I Need More Hours in My Day

Finally managed to start decorating for FALL!
(It is difficult to get started on "fall" when you live in the South - the temps are typically too warm to think "Fall.")

Hobby Lobby had some orange burlap - so I began sewing and hot gluing -and even stenciled and spray painted!

Cool, huh!?

My little cotton wreath needs some additional cotton. I need to go and find some more before the harvest is over.

I took some old baby items to a local fundraiser and OF COURSE had to buy more stuff for the house. See my giant 50¢ plastic jack-o-lantern? What a score!! (at least - until I have to find a place to store it.)

And here is a table in the hall............

I also know of a hedge-apple tree near my home that drops these beautiful things in the right-of-way. (I had to explain to my 10-year old helper that I was not "stealing" the hedge-apples since they were in the street.) The purple berries are "beautyberries" and are native plants (at least here, in the south.)

Oh, and here is part of my work area............

Ignore the dining room chair in the photo - I was also sewing slip covers for a future post - which explains why the pile of laundry in the chair near the top of the photo has not been folded. Did I mention that I need more hours in my day? -- And possibly ONE more project that I can attempt to accomplish while working on two others.

Very nice pillows! You do nice work!
just wanted to tell you I love your artwork. I saw it at the Nester's and I have been trying to decide what I want! I love the colors, it is so dang hard to find cheerful vibrant things to put on the wall...especially in Texas!

Awwwww! I love what you've done! And if I were to take a road headed east I bet I could finally find your house just by that porch photo. I bet your home smells like orange pekoe tea (or at least baked cookies.)
