Target!
Target certainly has really good "buyers" and really good designers. Most of the time -their items appeal to my 40-year-old traditional-taste-self, as well as to the "younger," some might say "hipper" crowd.
In an effort to give credit where it is due: I read Janell's Isabella and Max Rooms blog, tonight, and saw her new Target lamp. Seeing HER post reminded me of MY fun Target purchases from earlier this evening, so I made a Target post, too. Yes, -- I am a Copy Cat.
Please, join me on my walk through Target this evening and get a glimpse into my shopping habits. Feel free to analyze me if you took alot of psychology in college. (or, just skim - if you don't like to read a bunch of words, -like me).
First, I looked at all the pretty lamps and shades and lamented over their costs. (I am a tight-wad.) Then I swept back through the home decor aisle on the end near the boy's section and found this beautiful, large drum shade in just the linen color I "needed" - marked at $14.98...........

It was obviously a return - but had no visible problems. The metal 'thingy-do' inside was inserted incorrectly, but I just popped it on my lamp upside down and you cannot tell it is upside down because it is a drum shade - with no angle.
NEXT, I walked BACK over to the kitchen area and grabbed a water pitcher I eyed on my first run through.
Cute, huh?
(I glanced longingly at the water pitcher on my first pass, but didn't want to splurge on the $9.99 glass water pitcher that could also double as a vase.) Plus, now that I had one item in my hand, already (the lampshade) - why not make the wait in line worthwhile?
Here are some things I SAW - but DID NOT BUY (trying to make this post a little more interesting)......
Aluminum Cake Plate (over near dishes)
Smith and Hawken Stone Crock (I will certainly miss Smith and Hawken)
Smith and Hawken extra long fall mat ($25 -I think)
Rattan Serving Tray $24.99
Thanks for shopping with me!

I love that glass! It looks just like a Blenko! What an amazing find!
