Porches and Views

I saw this inviting porch on the Martha Stewart site. It is quite a pleasant porch and the ferns appear to be blowing so I can feel the breeze when I look at the photo. (Do you know what I mean?)

But then, I saw THIS picture on the Veranda site.

I am a "mountain" person...... No matter how much my husband tries to convince me otherwise!

I enjoy the beach, but much prefer the mountains.

My grandparents had a cabin in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with a view like this. I sure miss that little cabin!

I hope there are some grandchildren somewhere who will be able to remember the views from THIS porch when they are grown!
