New Color for My Hall

Well, sort of.
I'm trying to break out of the last decade and get away from the yellow that has been my main hall for a decade.  I'm still in the creamy yellow family.  Just not so much.  I am attempting to use neutrals  (like I did in my living room with the pale gray.)  It is difficult to use neutrals when you really like alot of color (see my art over there on my etsy site?  Lots of color.)

Here is my progress, thus far....

(just ignore my daughter's tennis bag next to the paint tarp.)

Also -how can I walk past that pile of papers and the tennis raquet in that chair and not notice it until I see it in a photo?

I am using North Star by Benjamin Moore (I had it mixed at Lowe's - Valspar).

My husband is out of town.  So I pulled out the paint brushes and tarps, took the youngest through Chik-fil-a, and then let him watch tv.  (Does anyone else conquer major projects when their husband is away?)

"Hall" for me involves 11.5' ceilings - plus the area UP the stairs AND the upstairs hall.  It is raining today and my tennis match has been canceled.  Hope I can get most of these halls finished before my husband gets back tonight!

You made a very good paint choice. We are doing a major remodel before we move in to our new place, and the paint choices have been a real challenge for some reasons.

fresh paint revives your house! You're going to love your new unmarked and neutral walls.
You be careful on that ladder girl!

You really did make a great paint choice, and don't you love the feel!

I love that you are sticking with some color since that is what you love and crave! The color you chose is fresh and will go with everything. And yes, my husband always gets a little nervous when he goes on a trip. He's afraid I might buy a house or totally re-do this one. I did actually buy a house once without him when he was gone!

I cannot do 11 foot ceilings any more so am relieved we have stopped all upkeep at the old house. The yellow house has walls I can basically reach on a two-step ladder. The color is soft and pretty. I still consider pale yellow a neutral.
