I love black beds. Your pictures are lovely...they show how they go with ANYTHING...no color..neutral colors...or vivid colors. And they always look great.

We love them too! And hate to shill for our own site, but some time ago we posted about Badgley Mischka (who are partners in real life) and their home featured in Elle Decor. They did their who house in black, including their bed. It's one of our favorite celebrity homes. Black is definitely where it's at!

Love this post. "Lacquered Black" solves a multitude of problems, especially with old "inherited" "priceless" pieces. Send them off to someone to lacquer then black. The someone will argue that it's nice wood. Well, if I get tired of the paint, we'll strip it off and go back to the wood. Thanks for sharing your vision.

thanks for visiting my blog and for the great advice re- my decorating dilemma. I like all your advice and it is all easy things I can do like changing out the size, colors, style of the pillows. I think I'm going to do the black bed soon! I'll send you a picture when I do.
