Never Give Up

A month ago, I challenged myself to 30 Days of Painting, where I would paint or draw every day for 30 days.  That was July 24th - twenty-seven days ago!   It is now August 20th and I am on Day 9.

P-I-T-I-F-U-L.

After painting for eight straight days (one little, measly week), - I stopped painting for three weeks to get my kids back in college, high school, and middle school and take three weekend trips.

Don't count me out, just yet!!
I started back, this weekend.

Here is Painting 9....

 20x20

That one was for a local charity auction.
I sure hope someone bought it.  How embarrassing would it be to have zero bids?

Here are my Painting a Day creations for Days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,  7, and 8.

Also - I am not the big social media buff.  I am an introvert and don't really like to socialize all that much.
However, I do post from time to time (especially on Pinterest).  If you are interested in following along,
here are my links....

Have a great week!

Ooh. I'm sure there were many bids! I love the movement. The light and blak darks playing against one another! I too have been rallying the troops and my poor blog has fallen by the wayside. Our families are worth it and every moment invested in them will affect them/us. Keep up the beautiful work! Visiting from studio JRU.

Each day is a new day to start our challenges again...who is keeping track more than we are!! :)

I think this is fabulous, and good luck with the rest of your days. :)
to paint every single day is always my aspiration - rarely a reality as life takes us to other tasks! don't beat yourself up - enjoy it when you can! life is tooooo short!
I am positive your piece received BIDS.... it is inspiring!
cheers, dana

Oh this is beautiful! And one of my favorite verses! Such a wonderful piece for a charity auction. Thanks so much for joining us 'in the studio' to share. Going to keep up with you on FB now... and pinterest! :)
Ok Trish. I'm going to take your (I know it's from the Bible) advice and be very thankful and very grateful that you got to day 9!!! And such a lovely day it is!

That's a lovely painting and I do hope it sold well at the auction.
I'd say you had good excuses/reasons not to be able to paint every day. Just enjoy it when you do.
HPPF on Sunday.

I really like how you've given this an almost chalky look, with the loose light brush strokes and the little snatches of black around the lettering. I'm sure it got lots of bids--
