Kansas City Shopping - Days 2 & 3

Our first stop on Day 2 was Curious Sofa in Prairie Village, Kansas (near downtown KC)

What a great shop! Smaller than I expected, but chock full of cute, unique things.

(that's my mom -headed for some linens.)
I was so busy looking and admiring - I forgot to get any more photos.

Next.......

We headed to Atchison, Kansas to visit the original Nell Hill's location.

I love the drive to Atchison - lots of fields, wild turkeys, trains, and a large river.

Atchison is a cute town along the Missouri River.

And you know how I adore old houses. So, I snapped a few photos of the beautiful homes in the historic district - it was a dreary day.

Here is Amelia Earhart's birthplace - in a gothic revival along the cliffs of the Missouri River. (Her grandparents lived in this house).............

And here are a few more beautiful homes in Atchison.

Day 3 was also fun - but I had kids surrounding me and just completely forgot to take any pictures. We shopped in Brookside - a cute little area of Kansas City where my sister used to live. I love Lauren Alexandra (children's boutique) and Stuff -hand-crafted art items.

OK...I want the two big wing back chairs and that house with the huge wrap around porch!

Barbara looked like she was on a mission...and eager to get to something she liked....

Blessings....
